The need for snacks to keep a toddler satisfied is intense, and trying to think of new, healthy, and easy snacks isn’t easy. Over time I’ve built a collection of go-to recipes that I make for my now almost 2-year-old son. He has a real sweet tooth (just like me!) so I try my best to find snacks that are sweeter with fruit or natural sugars (like honey and maple syrup).
Homemade Trail Mix

These are the easiest snacks to make and they don’t involve baking.
Ingredients:
Cheerios
Dried fruit (cherries, raisins, apricots, prunes, or any you like!)
Freeze-dried strawberries
Nuts (cashews, almonds, etc.)
Apple Sauce Muffins (Vegan)

These whole-wheat mini muffins are sweetened only with applesauce and bananas. The recipe makes about 40 mini muffins, I normally freeze half the batch in a zip lock bag. Follow the recipe for Healthy Baby & Toddler Muffins on HappyVeggieKitchen.com.
Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars

These are super easy to make and sweetened only with honey. Follow the recipe for Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars at OurFamilyofSeven.com.
Berry Banana Muffins
These muffins you can cook in your toaster oven! They are sweetened with coconut sugar. Get the recipe for Small Batch Berry Banana Bread at ToasterOvenLove.com.
Baked Oatmeal

Another recipe you can bake in your toaster oven is Toaster Oven Baked Oatmeal at ToasterOvenLove.com. Sweetened with maple syrup and banana.
